Lectures

COMPANIES

Christina Rickardsson’s lectures are based on her own life and experiences.

Christina was born as Christiana Mara Coelho in Brazil, where she lived with her mother in a cave. After a few years they had to move to a slum in São Paulo and live on the streets, where they had to beg, where they starved and were subjected to physical and mental abuses. At the age of seven, Christina and her little brother were put in an orphanage. When she was eight years old, she and her little brother were adopted, against her and her mother’s will, and moved Vindeln, in northern Sweden.

It may be hard to believe, given the fact that her story is dark and deeply touching, but Christina’s lectures are also filled with laughter, hope and strong uplifting moments. People who listen to her get inspired, feel grateful and become more enthusiastic about their lives and goals. She spreads a message that warms people’s hearts.

Christina is interested in talking about social issues and she is fully convinced that gender equality and diversity contribute a better society for everyone. She wants her lectures to help people have a better understanding about differences, prejudice and culture-clashes, thus building bridges that create dialogue, tolerance and openness in society.
